The Harbour Bar in Scarborough hasn’t changed since I used to go to Scarborough on Sunday school trips in the 1960s. Probably the only place in the UK that still will serve you a hot Bovril and an ice cream sundae with tinned peaches.
I saw the ads for buttered toast and hot Bovril as I peered sadly through the window, wind whipping my hair and forbidden dog nosing at my heels! what a place (though I think the place in Bridlington does a good line in such sundaes too, if it's still as good as on my one visit)
